Is it powerful to be, or is it irrelevant? If it is powerful and important to be, won't we constrain ourselves too much and take ourselves too seriously, hence reducing the value of being? On the other hand, if we think it is irrelevant to be, we can go on gathering whatever experiences catch our fancy, whatver maximizes the intensity of stimulation we experience and thus make the fact of being more valuable.
It is perhaps, being vs being somebody or something... By being, without concern about who you are being, you can relish the being bit of it - and feel free and powerful... ( methinks we are saying the same thing in different ways?)
